Michael Browne is co-founder of Crowdhelix, a pan-European Open Innovation Network and technology platform that connects and enables research organisations, SMEs and industry to collaborate, innovate and grow, and has a particular focus on developing collaborations around European framework programme funding opportunities and accelerating the economic, environment and social impact from these collaborations. The network has more than 400+ member organisations from 42 countries, including all EU Member State countries, who have collectively won in excess of 4 billion euros of funding from the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme. Michael is also Head of European Research and Innovation at University College London (UCL), where he has overseen the award and delivery of more than 1 billion euros of EU funded grants and has more than 15 years’ experience in managing and exploiting large-scale international collaborative projects.
